Well, my training is finished, and I am finally home for Christmas. I can't describe to you the amazing friendships I have created at the training with over 150 other missionaries. It felt like I was saying goodbye to a family...but a family I may never see again. Needless to say, it was hard to leave, but now I have a free place to stay all over the world! :)
I spent a week in Greenville saying goodbye to my church family at NewSpring Church, my fellow teachers at Woodland, and my friends. It was a good time and a place I am going to miss very much.
I am now trying to undertake the task of packing into a suitcase for the next two years.
Where do you even start? How do I even begin to think about what I will need living in Africa for two years?! Thank goodness for mothers!
Please still continue to be in prayers for me as I am getting ready to say goodbye to my family. I'm so thankful that we are able to spend Christmas together.
As of today, my fly out date is January 10th. I am getting so pumped about getting on the field!
Thank you for all of your love and support! It means the world to me!
I will let everyone know when I get on the field. Please be praying everything goes smoothly.
Much love!
Lauren
